About Dr Aleamoni
Lawrence M. Aleamoni, Ph.D. - Dr. Aleamoni has published extensively (over 240 publications) and presented numerous papers (over 124 paper presentations) in the field of faculty evaluation and improvement since 1966. He has consulted with more than 144 colleges, universities, organizations and corporations both nationally and internationally in designing and implementing comprehensive faculty evaluation systems. He has also consulted on evaluation and testing to a number of agencies including the Southern Regional Education Board, the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education, the US Army Intelligence Center and School, the Arizona and Tennessee Legislatures, and the Exxon and AT&T corporations. He has been invited to serve as a visiting professor at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (in 1974, 1991, 1994, 1995 and 1997) and the National Academy for Agricultural Research Management in Hyderabad, India (in 1988). As Head of the Measurement and Research Division of the Office of Instructional Resources, he helped develop and operate the student ratings of faculty system at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. As Director of the Office of Instructional Research and Development at the University of Arizona, he developed and operated instructional evaluation and development programs and conducted numerous faculty workshops on instructional improvement, measurement, and evaluation. His Course/Instructor Evaluation Questionnaire (CIEQ) has been effectively tested and used in over 500 colleges and universities nationally and internationally. Current research and writing interests are "The Meta Profession of Teaching", measuring stress, investigating the effectiveness of Medical Ignorance Curriculum training, and developing evaluation models for technology based instruction. He is presently Professor and Head of the Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation and School Psychology at the University of Arizona.
